Submissions

The press is currently accepting submissions for the digital journal. The journal releases two publications each month: one on the new moon and one on the full moon. At least one piece in every issue must be an essay; the other may be an additional essay or a creative work such as a photography series, a collection of paintings, a hymn, or a short film. Each issue is shaped around a theme. To submit, you will apply two months in advance and send samples of your work, a short biography, and a pitch for what you wish to create.

The current issue open for submissions is March. Its theme is metaphysical worldviews/paradigms. Explore *how* the esoteric works and why. Interpret it through your personal praxis, gnosis, and cosmology.

The press is not currently accepting full manuscripts, but submissions for book-length works will open in March. To submit a manuscript, provide a two-page author biography that explores who you are, your perspective, and why your voice carries authority. Include a table of contents, a two-page summary of the manuscript, and one to two sample chapters (excluding introductory material or the main text). The press seeks manuscripts that engage with occultism, magickal studies, philosophy, paganism, alternative spirituality, and holistic health. We are not seeking introductory works that recycle old concepts, pop spirituality, or materials that do not align with the core message of the press. We seek original, innovative, and mystical work. Offer a new perspective.

For those interested in cover art, article covers, or graphic art, we are always open to submissions.

All submissions should be sent to katharsiospress@gmail.com. Please allow time for review. For journal submissions, accepted contributors will receive a response within the first two weeks of the submission month. For manuscripts, responses may take up to one month. Submissions for cover art, asset art, or article covers will be reviewed on a fluid timeline; responses may come immediately or months later. Not all submissions will receive a reply. If you do not hear back, the submission was not accepted. We encourage you to try again at another time.

All work published through the press is paid.
